Important Inanimate Object

I've been through a lot with Seth, through the thick and the thin. He first picked me up about 5 years ago, much has happened since then. Since that day I have steadily gone back and forth from being a necessity in his life, to something he could care less about. The times he could care less about me, well, really he was only hurting himself. I say this because I have never led him in the wrong direction. When he needs good advice, I give it. When he needs encouragement, I give it. When he needs direction on how to live his life the fullest, I give. I've spoke to him in his weakest and most distraught moments and I've helped bring him back. I feel like we are pretty close now, he gets up every morning and picks me up to see what I have to say, and I feel he actually enjoys it now. I can say that I have become a very crucial part of Seth Orr's life. I am his bible.

This is a quote that has stuck with me for a while now. It reminds me that the world I live in and and the life I live is all momentary. I believe that eternity awaits me after I die. What I invest in here on earth will determine where I'll spend that eternity. So I'll live my life and work towards investing in eternity, and not in my short life on earth.

Advice

High school has been a journey. It's the time in everyone's life where where they really step out and see what the world has to offer. The world has a lot to offer, but unfortunately, a good deal of it can really screw you up. I've failed so many times in high school, going against my morals and my beliefs, but thankfully by the grace of God I didn't mess up as much as I could have. There's massive potential to ruin your life throughout high school. My biggest piece of advice would be, simply put, to think. So many bad decisions are made in the high school years simply because of failure to think things through before actions are taken. Along with the potential to ruin your life, there's also the potential to shine. Stand up for what you believe in, go against the flow, and make high school a time where you can look back know you were you. Aside from that, be involved. Go to sporting events, hang out with people, make it a fun time. DON'T PROCRASTINATE. Push yourself and set high goals, stretch yourself. Experience all the great things high school has to offer.
